Aloe Baby!

All mothers-to-be know the importance of keeping their skin well moisturised during pregnancy. Although stretch marks are never totally preventable, using a good quality, rich body moisturiser can help minimise them as much as possible.

Something that not all mums do know, however, is how important it is to avoid certain skincare ingredients during pregnancy, and that a moisturiser containing naturally derived ingredients can significantly benefit both mother and unborn baby.

“Sixty per cent of what we put on our skin goes into our bodies” says founder of Eternal Skincare, Robin Aspinall. “That’s why it is best to avoid moisturisers which contain controversial preservatives such as parabens, especially when pregnant.”

Aloe Super Hydrating Moisturiser by Eternal Skincare contains a high proportion of organically grown Aloe Leaf Juice, well known for its incredible skin repairing qualities. Free from parabens and other potentially harmful stabilisers, Eternal Skincare’s luxurious moisturiser contains a plethora of decadent, natural ingredients, such as calendula oil and shea butter. The result is one of the finest and most gentle moisturising blends available – ideal for expectant mums and babies.

“In January this year Denmark announced a ban on parabens in all skincare products for children under three,” continues Robin. “Although parabens are still legal in the UK, our ethos is it’s better to be safe than sorry, especially during pregnancy. Our advice to expectant mums would be to check the packaging small print carefully; skincare brands don’t openly advertise the fact they use parabens, but they do have to declare this by law on their ingredients list.”
