How we help to protect the environment

1 August 2019

We all know that our planet is in desperate need of environmental attention. Over one billion tons of waste has been dumped so far this year, eight million tons of plastic waste is dumped into the oceans annually, and there are just 27% of wild forests left globally. These horrifying numbers are climbing all the time, and while awareness of the issue has increased dramatically over the last ten years, the scale of what needs to be done to address it is almost overwhelming.

The skincare industry has become notorious for its negative impact on the environment – more than 120 billion units of packaging are produced every year by the global cosmetics industry. The sustainability of ingredients used in products is another area of concern, whether it’s the long-term impact of farming them commercially or how they are sourced. Palm oil, which is used in numerous products, has caused extensive deforestation and, as a result, the extinction of a number of endangered species.

There are many ways in which companies can contribute to the fight for the welfare our planet, and every action that can be taken, however small, is a step in the right direction.

Here at Eternal Skincare, protecting the environment has been an essential part of our philosophy from the very beginning. We are passionate about making skincare products which are as natural as possible, and as kind to nature and the living world as they are to our customers’ skin.

We have never tested our products on animals, and they contain no animal-derived ingredients. They are also free from parabens, synthetic fragrances and colourings. Because we rely on the natural world to source our active ingredients, such as organic aloe vera, we minimise the environmental impact of our business.

We are constantly examining how we can improve our ability to recycle, reduce our packaging and minimise waste. All our Eternal Skincare jars are 100% recyclable, and we do everything we can to bring this to our customers’ attention. If you have any suggestions which could help improve our eco-credentials even further, just let us know.

Safe in the knowledge that using our products won’t pollute the planet, why not check them out? Our Super Hydrating Moisturiser will soften, moisturise and heal even the most sensitive skin and our Aloe Cleanse and Soothe is perfectly balanced to cleanse and soften your skin effectively without leaving a greasy residue.
